My Approach to therapy
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California (AMFT 152066), with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles.I came to this work later in life, after doing many different things, including running a bar on a Greek island, graphic design in an erotic arts institute, going back to school (more than once), and earning a couple of master’s degrees along the way.
I’m also in recovery, which informs how I show up for people who are navigating their own big changes.I believe in "aha" moments, but I don’t think they’re the whole story.
I see therapy as a conversation where we figure things out together.
That means I’ll ask questions, such as "what's not working in your life?"
The second part of the question, "What are you willing to change?"
I’m not here to tell you how to live your life or give ready-made answers.
Sometimes insight comes in a flash, other times it’s a steady process of seeing clearly, trying new approaches, and making changes that last.
Would we be a good fit?
